Free NSF-Funded Workshop | In-Person & Virtual | July 2025
On July 21, 2025, The University of Texas at Arlington hosted a hands-on workshop showcasing FABRICATE, an NSF-funded bilingual Virtual Reality (VR) platform designed to support additive manufacturing (AM) education. The initiative, led by Dr. Shuchisnigdha Deb and Dr. Emma Yang, was created specifically for educators, faculty, and course instructors in manufacturing and related disciplines.
Event Highlights

Participants explored FABRICATE, a bilingual VR interface developed for AM training and instruction.

Virtual attendees viewed a live demonstration, while on-site participants engaged in a hands-on VR session and lab tour.

In-person attendees received free parking, lunch, and refreshments.

Early adopters were provided complimentary VR headsets and an honorarium for integrating FABRICATE into their courses (for eligible faculty).
